What our customers say

Filmed by our customers, not scripted by us.

How does pest control in Melbourne actually work?

A general treatment is two jobs in one visit. Inside, product goes where pests travel and shelter: skirting, cupboard voids, behind and under appliances, wet areas and around pipework. It is not a fog of the room, which looks dramatic and does very little. Outside, a treated band goes around the building along with the weep holes, door thresholds, window frames and slab edge, because that is where nearly everything arrives from. Webbing is knocked down first so the product lands on the surface rather than on old silk. One general treatment covers ants, spiders, cockroaches, silverfish and general crawling insects. Rodents, possums, bees, wasps, bed bugs and fleas are separate jobs, and we will tell you if that is what you actually need rather than selling you a general spray. Call 0436 389 114, seven days.

What it covers

One treatment, or a specific job?

Not everything needs a general treatment, and we would rather tell you that before you book than after.

The quick test is whether you have several common pests or one specific problem.

  • A general treatment suits you if it is ants, spiders, cockroaches, silverfish or general crawling insects, or a mix of them, or you simply want the house done before summer.
  • You need a specific job for rodents, possums, bees, wasps, bed bugs, fleas, birds or a dead animal. Each has its own method and its own page.
  • Sometimes both. A general treatment plus a targeted job is common, and we will quote them together rather than making you book twice.
  • Not sure? Describe what you are seeing and we will tell you which one it is.

What is included

Residential Pest Control Melbourne: what the job covers

A general treatment is internal and external in one visit, aimed at where pests travel rather than where you happen to see them.

Internal treatment where pests travel

Skirting, cupboard voids, behind and under appliances, wet areas and the gaps around pipework. Not a fog of the room, which achieves very little.

Full external perimeter

A treated band around the building, plus weep holes, door thresholds, window frames and the slab edge, which is where most of them arrive from.

Roof void and subfloor

Checked and treated where access allows, because the spaces nobody looks in are where a population sits between visits.

Webbing knocked down

Eaves, frames and external corners cleared so the treatment lands on the surface rather than on old silk.

Ants, spiders and cockroaches covered

A general treatment covers the common household pests in one visit. Rodents, possums, bees, wasps and bed bugs are separate jobs.

A written report

What we found, what we used and what needs attention. Useful for a landlord, an agent or your own records.

Internal, external and the roof void, all in one booking.

Units and apartments

Pest control in a Melbourne unit, townhouse or apartment

A freestanding house owns its pest problem. A unit shares one.

Ants, cockroaches and rodents move between dwellings through shared plumbing voids, riser cupboards, wall cavities and bin rooms. That is why a unit can be treated, go clear for a month, then fill up again from two doors along.

We treat your property properly and write down what we found, so you have something concrete to give the owners corporation or the managing agent, because a building level problem needs a building level answer.

  • Shared plumbing voids and risers checked, not just your rooms.
  • Bin rooms and rubbish storage assessed as the likely food source.
  • Balconies, courtyards and the immediate external area treated.
  • A written report for the body corporate or the property manager.

How a job runs

From your call to a treated house

No surprises, and no price that changes once we are on site.

STEP 1

Tell us what you have noticed

Which pests, which rooms, and how long it has been going on. That decides whether a general treatment is right or whether you need a specific job.

STEP 2

We inspect before we treat

Inside, outside, the roof void and the subfloor where we can get to them, so the treatment goes where the pests are.

STEP 3

Fixed price before we travel

Quoted on the property size and what you describe, and it does not change once we are on site.

STEP 4

Internal and external treatment

Runs and harbourage inside, a treated band and entry points outside, webbing cleared as we go.

STEP 5

What to expect afterwards

More activity for a few days as pests move through treated surfaces, then it settles. We tell you what is normal.

Every step above runs on a fixed price, quoted before we travel.

Cost

Pest Control Cost Melbourne: what changes the price

There is no single number for a house, and anyone quoting one without asking about the property is guessing.

What we can promise is that the figure you get before we travel is the figure you pay. We would rather ask two more questions on the phone than surprise you at the door.

  • Property size. Bedrooms, storeys and how much external wall there is to treat.
  • What is being treated. A general treatment, a single targeted pest, or both together.
  • Extras. Subfloor, roof void, sheds and outbuildings where they need including.
  • How established it is. A problem running for a year takes more than one caught early.

Get your own number, not a range. Quotes are free and fixed.

Questions

Pest control questions, answered

What does a general pest control treatment cover?
The common household pests in one visit: ants, spiders, cockroaches, silverfish and general crawling insects, treated inside and around the outside of the building. Rodents, possums, bees, wasps, bed bugs and fleas are separate jobs, because each needs a different approach, and we will tell you plainly if that is what you actually need.
How quickly can you come out?
Usually the same day where a slot is open, seven days a week including weekends. Call 0436 389 114 and we will tell you honestly what is free today rather than booking you in and hoping.
What does pest control cost in Melbourne?
It depends on the size of the property and what is being treated. A two bedroom unit and a four bedroom double storey are different jobs, and a single pest is different from a general treatment. You get one fixed price before we travel, based on what you describe, and it does not change on the day.
Is it safe for my children and pets?
Yes, with a short keep-off period while surfaces dry, usually a couple of hours. We avoid fish ponds and vegetable beds, ask you to cover tanks and switch off the pump, and tell you which areas to stay out of and for how long before we start.
Why am I seeing more insects after the treatment?
Because they are moving. A residual does not kill instantly the way a can of spray does, so pests come out of harbourage and die in the open where you notice them. It usually runs for a few days and it means the product is working rather than failing.
How often should a house be treated?
Most Melbourne homes do well on an annual general treatment, usually going into spring as activity picks up. A property backing onto a reserve or a creek, or one that has had a problem before, sometimes suits every six months. We will tell you what your property actually needs.
Do you treat units and apartments?
Yes. The one thing worth knowing is that a shared building shares its pests through plumbing voids, risers and wall cavities, so treating your unit while the source is elsewhere in the block may not hold. We treat yours properly and give you a report you can take to the owners corporation.

Seeing more than one kind of pest?

A general treatment covers the common ones in a single visit. Tell us what you have and we will price it properly.
