What our customers say

Filmed by our customers, not scripted by us.

How does pest control in Geelong actually work?

The work runs from the outside in, because around Geelong that is where the pressure comes from. A treated perimeter band goes around the building along with weep holes, thresholds, window frames and the slab edge, and on a larger block the sheds, woodpile and fence line get attention too. On older stumped housing the subfloor is treated as well, because that dry, dark, undisturbed space suits nearly everything and keeps feeding the rooms above. Then the inside: skirting, cupboard voids, behind appliances and wet areas, placed on the runs rather than fogged across a room. One general treatment covers ants, spiders, cockroaches, silverfish and general crawling insects. Timing matters here: a treatment laid down going into spring is worth more than one applied in the middle of summer. Call 0436 389 114, seven days.

Timing matters

The Geelong pest year, and when to treat

Pest pressure around Geelong is seasonal in a way that is worth planning around rather than reacting to.

Getting the timing right is the cheapest improvement most properties can make.

  • Spring. The best time to treat. Numbers are still low, colonies are becoming active, and a residual laid down now works through the build up rather than against it.
  • Summer. Peak activity, especially ants and spiders. Treatable, but you are working against numbers that are already high.
  • Autumn. Rodents and wasps push towards buildings as paddocks and reserves dry off and cool down.
  • Winter. Quiet outside, which is exactly when a subfloor or roof void population goes unnoticed.

What is included

Residential Pest Control Geelong: what the job covers

A general treatment is internal and external in one visit, aimed at where pests travel rather than where you happen to see them.

External perimeter first

On a Geelong block most of the pressure comes from outside, so the treated band around the building does the heavy lifting.

Subfloor and stumps

Older housing leaves the underfloor open, warm and undisturbed. It is treated as part of the job rather than ignored.

Internal treatment to the runs

Skirting, cupboard voids, behind appliances and wet areas, placed where pests actually travel.

Sheds, garages and outbuildings

On a larger block these hold more than the house does, and they are where the next lot stage from.

Webbing and nests cleared

Eaves, frames and outdoor areas cleared before anything is applied, so the product reaches the surface.

A written report

Species found, what was treated and what to watch for, which matters for a rental or a managed property.

House, subfloor and outbuildings, covered together.

Bigger blocks

Pest control on Geelong acreage, rural blocks and coastal properties

On a quarter acre block, a rural property or anywhere backing onto open ground, the house is the smallest part of the job.

The pressure arrives from the paddock edge, the reserve, the foreshore, the woodpile and the shed. Treating four bedrooms and ignoring all of that gives you a quiet fortnight and then the same problem back.

So on these properties we price the block rather than the house, and the external work is where most of the value sits.

  • Sheds, garages, carports and stored materials treated.
  • Woodpiles and stacked materials moved off the wall line.
  • Fence lines, paddock edges and reserve boundaries assessed.
  • Subfloor and stumps treated on older housing.

On acreage or a coastal block? Ask us to price the property, not the house.

What a booking looks like

From the call to a treated property

No surprises, and no price that changes once we are on site.

STEP 1

Describe the property and the problem

Which pests, and whether the house is on stumps or a slab, because that changes where the work happens.

STEP 2

We walk the whole block

House, perimeter, subfloor, sheds and the fence line. On a bigger property the outbuildings matter as much as the rooms.

STEP 3

One fixed price, before we drive

Covering Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf Coast, confirmed before we leave.

STEP 4

Outside, underneath and inside

The perimeter band and subfloor first, then the internal runs and harbourage.

STEP 5

What happens next

Expect a few days of visible activity as treated pests move about, then it quietens down.

One fixed price for the whole job, confirmed before we leave.

Cost

Pest Control Cost Geelong: what changes the price

There is no single number for a house, and anyone quoting one without asking about the property is guessing.

What we can promise is that the figure you get before we travel is the figure you pay. We would rather ask two more questions on the phone than surprise you at the door.

  • Property size. Bedrooms, storeys and how much external wall there is to treat.
  • What is being treated. A general treatment, a single targeted pest, or both together.
  • Extras. Subfloor, roof void, sheds and outbuildings where they need including.
  • How established it is. A problem running for a year takes more than one caught early.

Get your own number, not a range. Quotes are free and fixed.

Questions

Pest control questions, answered

What is included in a general pest treatment?
Ants, spiders, cockroaches, silverfish and general crawling insects, treated internally and around the outside of the building. Rodents, possums, bees, wasps, bed bugs and fleas each need their own approach and are quoted separately. If that is what you actually have, we will say so.
How quickly can you get out here?
Usually the same day where a slot is open, and we cover Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf Coast on the same run. Call 0436 389 114.
When is the best time of year to have it done?
Going into spring, before numbers build through the warm months. Around Geelong the seasonal pressure is real: properties near paddocks, reserves and the foreshore get a fresh push as the weather turns, so a treatment laid down before that is worth more than one applied in the middle of it.
Does a subfloor need treating too?
On older stumped housing it usually does. The underfloor is dry, dark and undisturbed, which suits nearly everything we treat for, and it feeds the rooms above no matter how carefully the inside is done. A slab on ground property does not have that problem.
Is it safe around chooks, working dogs and kids?
Yes, with a short keep-off period while things dry. Tell us what animals are on the property and where they are kept and we will plan around runs, coops, troughs and vegetable beds before we start.
What does pest control cost around Geelong?
It depends on the property size, what is being treated, and whether the subfloor and outbuildings are included. You get one fixed price before we travel and it does not move on the day.
We are on acreage. Is that different?
The emphasis shifts outwards. On a larger block the sheds, the woodpile, the fence line and the paddock edge are where the pressure comes from, so the external work matters more than anything done indoors. We price the property rather than the house.
