What our customers say
Filmed by our customers, not scripted by us.
How does bed bug treatment in Melbourne actually work?
First the infestation is confirmed, because bites alone prove nothing: people react very differently and plenty of things bite at night. A technician looks for live insects, shed skins, eggs and the dark spotting along mattress seams, bed base joints, bolt holes and the skirting behind the bedhead, since bed bugs shelter within a couple of metres of a sleeping person. Treatment then goes into that harbourage, the seams and joints and voids, rather than being sprayed across a mattress surface. Then the part that decides the outcome: a follow up visit, because eggs are not reliably killed by the first treatment and a new generation hatches afterwards. Just as important is the preparation, because moving your belongings to another room is how one bedroom becomes three. You get written instructions before we arrive. Call 0436 389 114, seven days.
Confirmed, treated and followed up. One fixed price.
How to tell bed bugs from everything else
A lot of bed bug calls turn out to be something else, and a lot of real ones go unrecognised for months. It is worth knowing what to look for.
Bites are the least reliable sign, because reactions vary enormously and some people show nothing at all.
- Dark spotting. Small dark marks along the mattress seam, the piping, the bed base and the slats. This is the most reliable sign of all.
- Shed skins. Pale, empty casings in the same seams and in the bolt holes of the bed frame.
- The insect itself. Flat, oval, reddish brown, about 5mm when adult, roughly the size of an apple seed.
- Where to look. Within about two metres of where someone sleeps. The bedhead, the skirting behind it, and the seams of anything upholstered nearby.

Bed Bug Treatment Melbourne: what the job covers
A bed bug job is won on inspection and preparation as much as on the treatment itself.
A proper inspection first
Seams and piping of the mattress, the bed base, the slats, the bolt holes in the frame, the skirting behind the bedhead. Bed bugs sit within a couple of metres of where someone sleeps.
Confirming it really is bed bugs
Bites alone prove nothing. We look for live insects, shed skins, eggs and the dark spotting along seams before anyone treats anything.
Treatment to harbourage, not surfaces
Into seams, joints, bolt holes, skirting and the bed frame itself. Spraying a mattress surface achieves very little.
Adjoining rooms checked
They travel. The second bedroom, the couch someone has been sleeping on and the room next door all get looked at.
A follow up visit
Eggs are not reliably killed by the first treatment. The return visit deals with what hatches, and it is part of the job.
Written preparation advice
What to launder, what to bag, what to throw and what to leave exactly where it is. Getting this wrong is how an infestation spreads through a house.
Inspection, treatment and the follow up, in one fixed price.

Bed bug pest control in Melbourne apartments and share houses
Bed bugs travel with people and belongings, which makes a share house, a student flat or an apartment block a different problem from a family home.
In a share house the room that reports bites is often not the room it started in, because people move bedding, borrow chairs and sleep on the couch when a room feels wrong. By the time it is reported it can be in three rooms.
So we inspect every sleeping space rather than only the one with the complaint, and we give everyone the same written preparation so one housemate does not undo the work.
- Every bedroom inspected, plus the lounge, because of the couch.
- Treatment coordinated so rooms are done together, not one at a time.
- Written preparation advice for each occupant.
- A report you can give a landlord, agent or owners corporation.
Share house or apartment? Get every room inspected, not just one.
Why bed bug removal takes two visits, and what heat treatment does
Two things get oversold in this industry, so here is the straight version of both.
One visit is rarely enough. Eggs are not reliably killed by the first treatment, so a second visit deals with what hatches. Any quote that promises a single visit result is hoping rather than planning.
Heat treatment raises a whole room above the temperature bed bugs and their eggs survive, and its real advantage is reaching eggs in one go. It needs specialist equipment and a long site visit, and it does not suit every building. Tell us what you have and we will say plainly which approach fits, including when someone else is better placed.
- Eggs surviving the first treatment is normal, not a failure.
- The follow up is quoted as part of the job, not added later.
- Preparation matters as much as product, especially what you do not move.
- We will not tell you a room is clear before the follow up confirms it.
Want it done properly rather than quickly? Talk to us first.
From the first call to a cleared room
No surprises, and no price that changes once we are on site.
Call and describe what you have found
Bites in a line, spotting on the sheets, or an insect you have caught. If you have one in a jar, keep it.
We inspect and confirm
Bed, base, frame, bedhead, skirting and the room next door. Confirmation comes before treatment, always.
Preparation, explained properly
You get clear written instructions before the visit. What to wash hot, what to bag, and crucially what NOT to move out of the room.
Treatment of every harbourage
Into the seams and joints where they shelter, across the bed, the base and the surrounding furniture.
The follow up
A second visit for the eggs that hatch after the first treatment. That is what finishes it.
Every step above runs on a fixed price, quoted before we travel.
