This policy explains what personal information Swift Pest Control collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We only collect what we need in order to quote and carry out pest control work.

  • Contact details. Your name, phone number, email address and the address of the property to be treated.
  • Job details. What you tell us about the pest problem, the property, pets and anyone with a sensitivity such as a sting allergy.
  • Service records. What we found, what we used, where it was placed and what we recommended.
  • Website information. If you submit a form we record the page you submitted it from, so we know which service you were reading about.

We do not collect payment card details through this website.

Why we collect it

  • To give you a quote and to arrange and carry out the work.
  • To keep the service records that pest control work requires, and that a commercial client may need for an audit.
  • To contact you about your job, including a follow up visit where one is part of the work.
  • To send service information or offers, where you have asked to hear from us. You can stop those at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else to market to you.

We share it only where it is necessary: with the technician attending your job, with service providers who run our booking, email and website systems on our behalf, and where we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

We keep job and service records for as long as we need them for the work and for any legal or insurance obligation that applies, then we dispose of them securely. Marketing contact details are kept until you ask us to remove them.

Keeping it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including restricting who can reach our systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise.

Cookies and this website

This website may use cookies and similar technology to keep it working properly and to understand how pages are used. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email info@swiftpestcontrol.com.au or call 0436 389 114 and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at info@swiftpestcontrol.com.au so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
